Why You Should Use Article Marketing To Get Traffic

May 21st, 2007 by vanessa

If you’re looking to drive free targeted traffic to your online business, website or blog one of the best ways to do that is by article marketing.

As most people know content is king and if you can provide good key word rich content for your website or blog, not only will the search engines love you, but so will your visitors as they will find the information they are searching for. While writing and placing articles on your site or blog is one way to build content, get visitors and keep them coming back you can also use articles to build links and direct traffic to your sites other ways.

The best way is by writing and submitting your articles to the many free article directories. A quick search on google etc and you’ll find plenty of places to submit your articles. Doing this has several key benefits:

When you write an article for submission you’re given the chance to a link(s) back to your chosen website, blog or other online information, this not only builds inward links to your site other webmasters may find the content of your article complimentary to their site and will add your article (and links) on their own page, so the inbound links continue to grow.

By writing good informative articles and submitting them to the directories you’re also branding yourself and your chosen site as someone who is happy to provide the information people are looking for.

Articles submitted to article directories also tend to feature prominently in the search engines so the chances of your article being seen improves drastically.

Remember too that while there are literally hundreds of free article directories you can submit your articles too there is also software available that can make it a little easier, it may still be manual to a certain extent but it can save you hours each time you plan on submitting a new article.
