Article Writing - 5 Suggestions For Writing As Many Articles As You Want to With Fresh New Content

July 23rd, 2008 by vanessa

If you are writing articles regularly, but running out of ideas on what to write about, you are not alone. Many people start off very strong, writing one or more articles every day, and then run out of steam very quickly. Here are some suggestions on how to have an endless source of ideas to write as many articles as you want to forever.

  • Keep a spiral bound notebook with you at all times. Whenever you have an idea, read something that would be interesting to your readers, or someone asks you a question about your topic, be sure to write it down. This way you will not forget it when you are ready to write.
  • Get in the habit of writing at the same time each day. You will accomplish more if you already know you will be writing about the things you have written down in your notebook.
  • Look at previous writing you have done to get new ideas. If you are blogging, look at some of your older posts and see how you can write an article that updates and expands on that blog post.
  • Read other people’s articles and blog posts. This may be one of the best ways to get your mind working. Whether you agree or disagree with what is being expressed in someone else’s writing, you are sure to have your own ideas and it will be easy for you to write about them in your own article.
  • Look at the news around you, what is happening in your family and community, and information from your niche to get ideas for fresh new content for your articles.

Follow these 5 suggestions and you will be able to write more articles than you ever imagined.

Writing Keyword Articles

December 28th, 2007 by vanessa
Looking for a way to drive highly targeted traffic to your website?

Writing great articles with lots of good content is a great way to drive traffic to your website or your blog. Here are some easy article writing tips and hopefully some information to help you get started…

Tip number one! Start writing! For a lot of people, writing keyword articles intimidates them and they never pick up a pen or hit the keyboard - lol!

If you know what you are writing about, keyword phrases will automatically fall into place for you. For instance, if you are writing about moms in home businesses , you will have phrases like ” marketing home based businesses” , “stay at home moms” , “making money at home” , etc, popping up all through your article. They will just slip in without you even thinking about it!

After your article is written, sit down and think of the different phrases people would put into the search bar to look for the information in your article. A keyword search tip that I have used quite a bit is to put quotation marks around a specific phrase to see how often it is used . If the search is relatively low and you are confident of your niche, it is very likely a profitable keyword.

Here’s the important point to remember when writing an article. Your article must stand alone as an independent piece of work, with useful information. Choose a topic to write about that you can be passionate about. Make it YOU… one of the best article writing tips I can give you is to just be you! Do a keyword search for your topic and weave them into your article in such a way as to captivate your audience and still please the search engines..

Articles are all about content. You are not selling your product, or your opportunity. The whole purpose of writing captivating articles is make it such a worthwhile piece of work, that many publishers will want to get it out there to their subscribers.

Your resource box is where your ad is. If your article is worth their while , many will click on the links in your resource box and that, my friend is how you generate the traffic to your website or your blog. Your reader will feel like he is beginning to know you, by reading your article and will become a highly targeted prospect that you are guiding through your information.

It will take some time the first time you start writing keyword articles, because it is a bit more difficult than just writing a letter to a friend! But the really neat thing is that you can submit your article and get them published for free. So commit to writing an article a week to begin with and then as you get more comfortable, write captivating articles about subjects relevant to your products or opportunity and you will generate highly targeted and qualified traffic to your site…

Where do you find the places to publish your articles?? Do a search for “article directories” and you will find a host of places that will publish your articles for you. When submitting your articles, be aware of the type of articles the site is looking for. Some accept any articles while others are looking for specific subjects…

Although it may be slow to start, you’ll start getting a trickle of new traffic from people who have come across your article somewhere, some place and were interested enough to click on the link in your resource box. Soon that trickle will turn into a stream and hopefully into a river of highly targeted traffic for you!

Writing Articles - What to Avoid

July 2nd, 2007 by vanessa
Writing articles is seen as a way to make money on the Internet. But there is a right way and a wrong way.

The purpose of an article, whether written for the Internet or to the local newspaper or magazine, is used to show either your opinion or your expert knowledge on the subject.

What you have got to decide when you write the article is what you are trying to achieve. Are you blatantly trying to make money by selling the article, or have you far more knowledge on the subject which you have put on a website, which you want to direct the reader to. Or if it is a review on a piece of software or equipment, or even about a vacation you have just taken. These can be placed on review sites where people can use your knowledge to select where they are going to take their vacation or which hotel they’re going to stay in.

Let’s start with the example that you have written an article with the intention of guiding people to your website to give them more information on the subject matter. On your website, you probably have affiliate links or adsense links relating to the subject matter. This means that the article you have written will give you a residual income of some sort. There is a lot of information on the intranet on how to optimize your site to be able to generate more more income. When you write in article with this in mind, and you are an expert an enthusiast on the subject this will show in the article. Your site will become an authority site on the subject and traffic to, and the status of, the site will grow. This is a great way of sharing your knowledge and enthusiasm on the subject and be able to make some money from that knowledge. The same principle goes if you are writing to a magazine, in most cases you will actually get paid for the article, with in that article will also be your contact details, or websites or company name, where people can contact you and either give you commissions for more articles or buy goods from you. Both of these methods will generate an income.

Some people use private-label rights articles and submit these to article sites or use them within their websites. This is not a very good idea. The editors of the better article sites are aware of what PLR subjects are available at that time, and it is quite rare for one of these articles to actually be published. And if you are using a complete generic site bought as a PLR site it will not receive a high enough ranking through the search engines to be found by anybody, unless you were the first to get it indexed by the main search engines. You read in some e-books sold by so-called gurus that all you need to do is change a few words. The introductory paragraph, and the final paragraph, and nobody will notice it is a PLR article. Believe me, they will.

Another way of making money from writing articles, is to go through all the market places on the Internet where people are looking for people to write articles for them. You might be an expert on the subject they are requiring articles about, the problem with that is that nobody will ever know that you are the expert. They will think that the person who publishes the articles and books on their website are the experts. You will probably get between three and five dollars for your expertise. Whereas, if you had put it on an article site and had back links to your own website or your affiliate program, where allowed.. you would have more than matched that payment in a few days and the income would be residual,

Article that relate more to current affairs, or are reviews on new equipment that is available have a limited lifespan. This kind of article is probably better suited to a blog or to magazine or newspapers, that is willing to pay for it. Some letters columns in magazines and newspapers pay a weekly prize for the star letter. Though saying that, there are review sites all over the web, which would welcome your articles and some allow back links to your site, blog, or even affiliate links to show where you bought the product from. These kind of articles aren’t really suitable, in my opinion, for article directories. This is because some of the links that you might have used in the article would cease to be live after the product or news story you had written about has become a distant memory.

So in conclusion, the best articles to write are on subjects you are enthusiastic about or knowledgeable about. Then decide whether you feel this article has a limited life. If it is a general knowledge or information article it is worth distributing it to article sites, though some are far better than others. But with a bit of research. You’ll soon find the most suitable sites for your articles. If you must use PLR articles, used sparingly on your website, but don’t attempt to submit them to article sites or you could be blacklisted. And unless you are desperate for quick cash, do not write articles on your specialist subjects and sell them to people on Marketplace sites, unless you feel you are getting a sensible payment, something in an order that it would take a long while to achieve by using adsense and affiliate marketing as income.

Key Things To Remember In Your Articles

May 24th, 2007 by vanessa

When it comes to using articles to promote your websites there’s a few key things you need to remember. Whether you’re writing articles as content for your website or writing to submit to the article directories to drive traffic back to your websites/blogs or affiliate programs many of the elements are the same.

Before you start writing make sure you have a reasonable understanding of your subject. Your article needs to be informative and not just a sales pitch; if you’re submitting to the article directories you may find your articles being declined if you write a promotional page rather than article that provides the information people want.

Keywords and keyword phrases are very important. While you won’t want to over-use your keywords you need to have a certain percentage to help when it comes to search engines and ranking, yet you need to keep them in tune with your article. Readers may be turned off if they encounter too many words that are used only to boost ranking and really have no relevance or are not needed.

If you’re submitting your article to the ezines and directories etc don’t forget to include the link back to your site in the resource box. Some directories allow anchor text (where you can use a key phrase as your link) while others will only allow the url, either way it’s important because often if people enjoy your article they will follow the link back to your site.

If you’re writing an article as content for your own site you can also scatter a few links throughout your article to your other pages or affiliate programs etc.

Of course the most important thing of all is your content. If you can find the balance between keyword density and informative content, good grammar and spelling etc you’ll not only have highly ranked articles you’ll have people flocking to your sites as know they will find just what it is they are looking for.
